Buy Bitcoins Using Cash App

To purchase bitcoin using your Cash App:

  1. Tap the Investing tab on your Cash App home screen
  2. Tap Bitcoin
  3. Press Buy
  4. Select an amount or tap … to enter a custom amount
  5. Enter your PIN and select Confirm

Purchasing bitcoin requires that you have a balance in your Cash App. You may also need to enter additional geographical information.

To view your bitcoin limits and progress:

  1. Tap on the Banking tab
  2. Tap Bitcoin
  3. Scroll down to the Bitcoin Limits section
  4. If you’re on iOS, Tap View Limits Progress

How do I buy cryptocurrency?

  1. Sign in to Coinbase.

  2. Select Buy / Sell on the upper right-hand side.

  3. Click the Buy field to select the asset you’d like to purchase. 

  4. Enter the amount you’d like to buy denominated in crypto or your local currency.

  5. Select your payment method.

  6. Click Preview Buy to confirm your purchase (you can always click the back arrow to make a change).

  7. If the details are correct, click Buy to complete your purchase.

If you’d like to make this a recurring purchase, click One time purchase and select how often you’d like the purchase to repeat.  

Mobile

1. Tap  at the bottom.

2. Select Buy, then select the asset you’d like to purchase.

3. Enter the amount you’d like to buy denominated in crypto or your local currency.

4. Click Preview Buy to review your purchase (you can always tap the back button to make a change).

5. If all the details are correct, tap Buy now to complete your purchase.

If you’d like to make this a recurring purchase, tap One time purchase and select how often you’d like the purchase to repeat.

What is the minimum amount I can buy?

How do I buy crypto via bank transfer?

At this time, Buy Crypto is available to all Wallet users who reside in supported countries.

Blockchain.com Wallet users in supported US states can now buy with instant USD ACH transfers. Many banks do not charge a fee for ACH transfers, so these can be great for quick, cost-effective transfers (please check with your bank regarding any transfer fees). Step-by-step ACH instant transfer instructions can be found here. To deposit via wire transfer, please follow the instructions below.

 

If you are a new user

Welcome! We offer two purchasing options, bank transfer and credit or debit card. To buy crypto via bank transfer, follow these steps:

  1. First, select Buy/Sell Crypto

  2. Next, choose which cryptocurrency you would like to purchase. Currently, you can select from: bitcoin, ether, bitcoin cash, stellar, USD Digital, and Tether, and Algorand.

  3. Click “Select Cash or Card”

  5. After that, you’ll need to verify your identity to proceed. This process generally takes a few minutes but may take longer if your case requires manual review; you will need to input some information about yourself, and upload a legal document (such as a passport) and a selfie.

  6. Once you’re Gold level verified, you can proceed to deposit cash and use it to buy crypto according to the following instructions:

Verified/Returning Users

Once you are Gold level verified, you can deposit cash via bank transfer and use the cash to buy crypto any time!

Depositing Cash:

  1. Select the currency you wish to deposit (if you wish to deposit USD, please see here):mceclip8.png

  2. Next, select “Deposit,” in the upper right corner, or, if this is your first deposit, you can select “Deposit Now” in the middle of the pagemceclip9.png

  3. Your unique deposit details will be shown here. Please note, this is not a bank account under your name; it is a unique virtual reference. On the deposit screen you will be shown detailed wiring instructions including the bank name, IBAN, and Bank Code.

  4. Use your mobile banking app or bank account website to send a transfer from your bank account to the deposit details displayed in your wallet (not the details displayed in these example images). Alternatively, you can call or visit your bank in person to execute a wire transfer. GBP transfers and domestic US wires are typically received within one business day. EUR transfers and international USD wires are typically received within 2-3 business days. If you have not received the funds after 3 business days, please reach out to our Support team here and we will be happy to assist.

Buying Crypto With Your Cash Balance

Once you’ve deposited cash to your Wallet, you can use it to funds new crypto purchases at any time!

  1. Select Buy/Sell Crypto

How To Use A BTM (Bitcoins ATM) To Buy Bitcoin

There are different types of BTMs available in the market. You can find Bitcoin ATMs in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne. However, they all have the same general process of handling Bitcoin transactions. The steps involved in buying Bitcoin, using BTMs include:

  1. On the BTM interface, click “Buy Bitcoin.”
  2. Using the BTM, scan the QR code of your Bitcoin wallet address.
  3. Depending on the BTM, you may need to provide some identification.
  4. Input the amount of Bitcoin you want to buy.
  5. Insert your cash into the BTM.
  6. Wait a moment for the BTM to process the transaction.
  7. Click on “Finish.”
  8. Collect a printed receipt.

After the transaction, check your Bitcoin wallet. The steps may differ, depending on whichever Bitcoins machine you might be using. However, follow the instructions, and you should be okay.

How To Use A BTM To Sell Bitcoin

To sell Bitcoin using BTMs, follow these steps:

    1. On the BTM interface, click “Withdraw cash.”
    2. Select Bitcoin.
    3. Input the amount of Bitcoin you want to sell.
    4. Transfer Bitcoins from your Bitcoin wallet to the given address QR code.
    5. Wait a moment for the transaction to be processed.
    6. Withdraw your cash.
